First Friday Feb 2010

OMG, I have been thinking of starting a blog for some time now. I have some new goals for the new year, 2010. Wow 2010. That seems weird to see. I remember in the 80's, 2000 anything was so futuristic back then. It is time to blog to keep a journal of my thoughts, feelings and see where this takes me and hope to meet my goals for this year. One thing I like to accomplish is for my husband and I to have as close to a stress free life that we can and to have a peaceful and joyful home, and an organized home etc. Well good luck with that last one. You get my idea. 

So I start.
A little about me, I am happily married to my loving husband, we have been married 15 years, wow. We have a little dog and live in our humble 1000 sq feet apartment home in a very nice, medium size city in the Southwest. I am currently trying to lose more weight and get back into shape.  I have lost what I gained over just the last year.  I was stressed out to the max.  We live away from family and we had financial issues with being laid off for awhile and some bills and car repairs, accidents etc so I gained weight.  In the mist of losing and trying to get back where I was, I am walking, using my fun Wii and love it, and eating better again.  I will post on weight loss and what works for me, exercising, cooking lighter, shopping for healthy foods, eating healthier and some cool web sites to share with you.  


I am also doing an inductive study in one of the chapters of the Bible plus doing another study on Revelations with a friend online.  I work two part time jobs. I started my second one last week and my other one is on hiatus over the new years and will start back up next month. 

My husband, the salesman, works almost full time thankfully, he loves to tinker and disassemble things and puts them back together after he fixes it and gets it to how he wants it.  He loves playing his guitar and is in one of the church's praise bands.  So our small office is always a bit messy from his many activities and paper work from my jobs plus my stuff, books and little pieces of papers all around. Hate that, am working on that.

I have been trying so hard for us to get out of debt and to eat even more healthy and to get more in shape.  Just some of the things I will talk about and my tips on what saved us money and helped me lose weight and keep me on tract now that I am older.  I have always changed up recipes and try to do a make-over on my recipes for a lighter fare so to cook and shop healthier and hopefully be able to keep the meals very tasty.  I will blog about one of these things and whatever else I feel like discussing any given day.

My hope is to share something interesting about my day and what I might have learned if anything. Maybe make you laugh at times, we shall see. I mostly hope this affords me a way to help myself see where I am headed or need to be headed in my life journey's and of course that you enjoy reading my blog also and at times laugh along with me.

This week has been stressful a bit with my new job and sharing a car, but we manage.  I have two chapters to do for Bible study and another chapter to read for my other Bible study and two sermons to listen to, plus of the normal stuff with no car available to me most of the time.  LOL   No big deal. Well until next time, get your rest and something delish to drink that is not high in calories and will do your body good.  ;-)
