As a young girl, my family and I were able to visit our European counterparts. It was a wonderful vacation and I will always remember and cherish the time. We were able to stay the whole summer, 3 months. Talk about a vacation of a lifetime. We traveled all over Italy by train or by car or by boat and got to spend quality time with family as we did stay in the various family member's home. If that was not possible, a hotel would not be the same unless it is 4 or 5 star so we were blessed to have family there but if we were not able to or didn't have have family there, it would of only been as awesome if we stayed in a real home, a villa no less with all the comforts of home.
I was able to found some beautiful pictures on line of the area and the owner of the site and travel company, Susan said I could use them and I am so appreciative that I am posting her info. No I am not getting any commission if you book. LOL
If you are going to Italy and want to really experience it, rent one of the beautiful villas located around the enchanted countryside and live like a rich Italian.
My wish is to be able to travel again to my families home town and I hope that you and your family will also be able to visit the place of your families beginnings too. What a joy.
